The Academic Nintendo Club and the Turku Game Academy are enjoying the summer by organizing a game night together. There will be many consoles and lots of games to play on them.
The game night will be held at Osakuntasali, which is located in Ylioppilastalo B, along the same corridor as the Academic Nintendo Club’s office, Terrakoti.

In our May game night, we will have multiple consoles and lots of different games that people can come play. You can also bring your own video games, board games or card games to play.

The Academic Nintendo Club dedicates an entire event to the art of speedrunning. People can come watch as the legendary speedrunners “Samura1man” and “zer0skar_I”, as well as other talented players, try to play games from start to finish as fast as they can.
The event will feature the following performances:
– 13:00 “Mistral” – Kingdom Hearts 0.2 (40 minutes)
– 14:00 “Peero” – Earthbound (Boogey%) (90 minutes)
– 16:00 “Samura1man” – Super Mario Sunshine (80 minutes)
– 17:30 “Reslandero” – Super Mario Bros. 1 ja Super Mario Bros. 3 (30 minutes)
– 18:00 “Aldriel” – Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (45 minutes)
– 19:00 “superthunderblade” – Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (45 minutes)
– 20:00 “zer0skar_I” – Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (2 hours 30 minutes)

And if there’s a speedrun that you are not interested in, worry not! We will also have one or two consoles that people can play in a more relaxed fashion.

The Academic Nintendo Club invites people to come to Kerhis and to compete in classic games. There are also special rules in place, most of which have to do with drinking.
People can participate with alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. Everyone must bring their own drinks. The games in the tournament include: GTA: Vice City, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and NHL 2004. The exact rules will be revealed at Kerhis.

The second game night of the Academic Nintendo Club in April will include many consoles, many games and, hopefully, many players.
This time, there will also be room for people to sell their games. If you are interested in selling your games in the game night, please contact the board in advance by e-mail (anc-hallitus [at] lists [dot] utu [dot] fi) or in our Discord, so that we know how many people are coming to sell.

Our first game night in April has a theme: Dance and rhythm games!
The game night will feature dancing, drumming, guitar playing and singing.
How? With these games:
– In the Groove (dance pad included)
– Donkey Konga (with the original DK Bongos)
– Guitar Hero on the Wii
And we also have microphones for karaoke!

The second ANC game night in March will contain lots of freely playable games on various consoles. People can also bring their own games.

Since weekends are well suited for playing games, our first game night in February will be extra long, starting already at 14:00. So, there should be plenty of time for playing our many games. And you’re welcome to bring your own video games, board games or card games as well.
